This library shows one public example from each Cryptic Cinema difficulty. It is meant to explain the clue style without turning the site into an answer bank.
The current dataset contains 300 prepared clues split evenly across easy, medium, and hard mode. The game keeps the rest inside live rounds so daily challenges and random play stay fresh.
Easy movie clues
Famous movies with clearer plot fingerprints and less abstraction in the clue.
| Clue | Answer | Year | Genre |
|---|---|---|---|
| "A sleepless office worker learns reality has source code." | The Matrix | 1999 | Action, Sci-Fi |
Medium movie clues
Recognizable films where the clue leans more on theme, conflict, and consequence.
| Clue | Answer | Year | Genre |
|---|---|---|---|
| "When the future goes silent, a cynic must escort a forbidden heartbeat." | Children of Men | 2006 | Drama, Sci-Fi |
Hard movie clues
Less obvious titles with clues that compress mood, structure, and theme.
| Clue | Answer | Year | Genre |
|---|---|---|---|
| "A man builds a copy of his life large enough to disappear inside." | Synecdoche, New York | 2008 | Drama |
How to use this library
Read a clue before looking at the answer column, then ask what words pointed to the title. If the clue describes conflict directly, it is probably easy. If it describes motive, mood, or consequence instead of events, it belongs closer to medium or hard.
For live play, start on the home page. The game hides answers, tracks lives, offers hints, and prevents the same movie from repeating too often in one session.
